Obituary of Grennie Musser
Please share a memory of Grennie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
1924 - 2012
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of 'Pop' on January 20, 2012 in Kimberley B.C., at the age of 87.
Grennie was born on April 22, 1924 in Cranbrook, B.C., to Olive and Grennie Musser. He lived most of his life in Kimberley, B.C. with the exception of the time that he proudly served aboard the H.M.C.S Prince David during World War II.
Grennie had many loves - his wife, Dot, the woman who stole his heart away, his family, fishing, hunting, camping, skiing with good friends and family, and especially his three grandsons whom he watched at many different sporting events but especially at hockey. We will all miss his stories, his songs, his kindness, and his good nature. He is now with his much loved Dot and son Ted.
Grennie is survived by his daughter Gerri, and son-in-law Craig Madsen, his prized and much loved grandsons Lee, Sean, and Todd Madsen, his sister Sheila and her husband Ed Majeau, his sister-in-law Terry Musser, his nieces Jill Musser, Julie Marleau, and Marilyn Majeau, his nephews Larry (Bette) Musser, Bob Musser, Marty (Ingrid) Musser, Chris Majeau, and Dan Majeau, many cousins and good friends. He was predeceased by his wife Dot, his son Ted, his brothers Roy and Larry, his sister-in-law Blanche, his mother Olive, and his father Grennie.
A very special thank you to all the staff at the Pines for the amazing care that was given to Grennie. You truly blessed his life.
At Grennie's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. Those wishing to remember Grennie, please make a donation to the Kimberley Special Care Home "The Pines" 386 2nd Avenue Kimberley, B.C., V1A 2Z8.
We will miss you Pop!
