I have lots of great memories of times with Grennie: when I was learning to ski and he took me on the chairlift; drinking rye; getting a WWII lesson or two about naval operations; learning about Kimberley history, drinking more rye!; warm hugs!!

Grennie was a great guy and a wonderful neighbour. I last saw him in July 2001. I was at Marg Patterson's place and she wanted to get Grennie to come over. So she called and told him that there was a pushy salesman at the door and she couldn't get rid of him. Grennie showed up ready to throw someone over the bank and Marg had a great laugh over the look on his face when he saw me. May your memories of him give you a smile.

The last time that I talked to Grennie was Dec of 2010. I went up to the
Pines just before Xmas to have a chat with some old friends. My first visit was with Grennie and for the next hour and a half we talked about life, his memories( boy that guy had a great memory) and about every subject you could think of.When I left there was
not enough time to visit with any other folks, but it was okay because I really enjoyed myself with Grennie.
Rest in peace friend and say hello to Dot and Alex Fergus Jr when you see them,
Terry Leal

Enjoyed all of Grennies, LIfe Stories, when at the dinner table he shared with my Dad,
George Wanuk, at the Pines. He always had interesting tales to tell and myself and my family amazed that Grennie did not watch T.V. in the Pines, but read instead. He had a friendly way about him and certainly brightened up the table when my Dad no longer made conversation, we thank your Grennie for that, and his friendship to George.
