Obituary of Daniel Perry Clark

Please share a memory of Daniel to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Daniel Perry Clark on December 21, 2024.

Dan was born on October 16, 1949, in Vernon, BC. As the eldest of 4 children, he took on many different roles and responsibilities at an early age.  Dan held a variety of occupations throughout his life, the most notable being a 25-year member of the Calgary Police Service.  As a police officer, Dan was proud to serve the public and enjoyed many different roles as a Constable until he retired in 2001. One of his most rewarding and fulfilling roles was as a member of the Traffic Section where he had the privilege of conducting his patrols on a police edition Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

Having spent a great deal of time in Alberta where he was a dedicated father and role model to his son, Jonathan, Dan was very happy to return to his BC roots in 2012. He and Judy were married in 2015 and together they enjoyed Cranbrook and the surrounding area with their friends and family as well as their furry canine companion, Lincoln.

Dan was a quiet, kind and loving man who made a lasting impression on those who knew and loved him.  He will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.

Dan is survived by his wife Judy, son Jonathan (Tania), step daughter Tamie (Mark), grandchildren Bennan and Mari, step grandchildren Rob and Darelyn (Kolton), step great-grandchildren Amber (Declan), Garrett and James, sisters Anita, Nina and Bonnie (Dennis), brother Bruce (Eileen), nieces Sharyn and Nicole, nephews Bob, Rusty and Garrett, as well as numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and many cousins.

Dan was predeceased by his father Perry, mother Grace, son Matthew, siblings Colleen, Holly, Valerie, and Kevin, and step grandson Jaxson.

A Family viewing will be held on Friday, January 3rd from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at McPherson Funeral Home – 2200 2nd St. South, Cranbrook, BC
