Obituary of Kristopher David Babcock
Please share a memory of Kristopher to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Due to a tragic series of events, this bear-like hugging, forever smiling, laughing or singing young man was called away far too early.
Kris loved life and lived life to its fullest. He always said work to live, don’t live to work. He was a kind, caring, and compassionate man. His biggest joy in his life were his friends. They were his world. His bond with his mom was untouchable. There was always immense respect, appreciation, trust and most of all, love.
Kris completed his schooling in Cranbrook, graduating MBSS in 2013. He completed his Business Administration diploma in Management and Marketing in 2016 at the College of the Rockies. His final achievement was his Bachelors of Education in 2022 from UVIC (Cranbrook Campus).
Kris was employed at the St. Eugene Golf Course Pro-Shop at the time of his passing, and he had met a new group of family there. He always said he can’t believe people get paid to have this much fun.
Goodbye my son (sunshine). Gone, but with me for eternity Mom (moonshine). As we have always said, “with the sun and moon together we will never part.”
Kris was predeceased by his grandparents Doris and Dyck Zoobkoff, John Babcock and Frances and George Summers.
He is survived by his mother Shauna Babcock (Zoobkoff) and Richard Martin, Richard’s children, and his father David Babcock, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and many friends.
A Celebration in honour of Kris’ life will be held on Saturday August 12 at St. Eugene Mission Pavilion from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. 7777 Mission Road, Cranbrook British Columbia.
