My deepest condolences to Shauna and Richard.
I have this great photo to share of Chris' volleyball team in our hot tub. It is a great photo of Chris' awesome smile and indication of his fun character.
I am saddened by this news and sorry we are so far away at this time.
I am so sorry for your loss on behalf of the Collings family: Al, Nancy, Jessy and Cody.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Kristopher's passing. I had the privilege of teaching Kristopher at Pinewood Elementary School. He was an excellent, hardworking student who was kind, considerate and respectful to everyone. Kristopher was a friend to many of his peers and never spoke an unkind word. I was pleased to hear he became a teacher. His sound work ethic, kind and patient manner and sense of humour would have made him an excellent educator.
My condolences go out to Shauna and the rest of his family and friends. Kristopher was a fine man and will be fondly remembered.

Shauna, Dave, Richard and family..... I cannot find the words. The time spent with Kris over the years was unforgettable. My second son....... When Shawna called me with the news, Ryan and I were devastated. A film reel ran through my head for days, going over each and every time we were with Kris - and not surprisingly of course they were all good memories. The memory I shall hold dearest to my heart is the last time I ran into Kris when I was in town - he picked me up and hugged me and swung me around (as he always did!). Kris would light up a room and give you his very best every time. Shawna, you were such a great mother and raised such an amazing young man. My heart hurts for you - you and Kris had such a special, loving relationship. I loved your boy, as did everyone who knew him. He will be dearly missed and life will have to go on, but it will never, ever be the same. I feel such a profound, indescribable sadness. Sending all of our love to you and your family. We cannot be there for the service, but will be there in soul, and Kris will remain in our hearts forever.

Shauna, I am so very sad for your loss. Kris was such an outstanding son, you are very lucky to have such a thoughtful and caring man in your life. I will remember him fondly being our driver as we returned to our homes. He had such a positive presence in anything he did. I enjoyed listening and laughing as you describe kris' latest adventures. Kris RIP.

I am deeply saddened to read this news. Kris was an outstanding human who made a lasting impact on me. He completed two teaching practicums at TM Roberts where his laughter, his outgoing personality and his kind kind heart were qualities that he brought to the school community and to the classroom. The students Kris taught knew the depth of his care and concern for them; he just radiated something difficult to describe but it could be felt when in his company. He navigated the world of “Covid teaching” like a pro; he was an inspiration and I was always encouraging him to “hurry back to TM”!
I am so sorry for your loss; truly incomprehensible.

I shared Kris’ happy company for 72 hours over two undergraduate courses in the UVic Teacher Education Program in which he unfailingly enjoyed a real stage presence in my Drama classes. His vocal and physical talents of ‘being in the moment’ were a testament to his natural gifts and pure joy of performance. Kris loved gags, jokes and one-liners and ate up Improvisation work, though he had real range as the work demanded. One of his first virtues noted by me was his considerate reticence to jump right into class activities to give other students a chance to shine, too. That’s a class act and one that says so much about him. He would slide into character at the drop of a hat and relish staying in it. It was all part of his delight of keeping so many showtime balls in the air! Kris was a lovely guy and this is a very, very sad loss not only to his family, friends and colleagues but to all the students who would have so enjoyed the chance to learn and be happy with him.

I am very sad to hear about Kris and words are so inadequate. I had the great pleasure to teach Kris for two courses in the program and to work with him in my other roles at EKTEP. Kris brought joy and humour to every class and to every EKTEP event. He was also deeply caring and kind. I have such strong memories of listening to Kris talk about his passion for teaching and for the students in his care. He truly understood the importance of developing caring and respectful relationships.
He will always be 'Mr. Kristopher' to me. Sending sincere condolences on this immeasurable loss.

I am very sad to hear of Kris’s passing. Kris was a talented Drama and Film student and I loved working with him. What a razor wit he had. I had the pleasure of directing him
in two productions for Mount Baker (some of his cast members might remember him shouting “De Pinna, where you at?!” at rehearsals). He always brought joy to the room and he had great peripheral vision: always aware of others and always kind. This is a major loss and I am so sorry.

I am shocked and so very saddened to learn of Kris’ passing. I had the pleasure of working with Kris through the EKTEP program. His wonderful smile, his sense of humour and quick wit, and his larger-than-life personality made him such an engaging member of our learning community. I know that he will be deeply missed by many.

I am so very sad to hear that Kris' life ended so soon! Kris was one of my students in the Education program and I really enjoyed his sense of humour, his quick smile, and his ability to look after others. He was considerate and thoughtful. I saw him a couple of times during his education practicums. You couldn't wipe the smile off his face. Yes, he had sweat on his brow while the 20 kindergarten students were swarming him, but he still flashed his beautiful smile. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting him. Keep each other close!
