Horst was born on July 15, 1951 the fourth of eight children, and the third son born within a three year period to Albert and Klara Featherling in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.
Horst was an amazing Father, Husband, Grandfather, Brother and Uncle. He was Uncle to many and a friend to all.
Horst's life was dedicated to his work, he truly loved his job. Especially the last year of his life when he felt he had finally found his perfect job. Horst was a hard worker by nature, and his love for working on vehicles and equipment was his favourite past time. Many turned to Horst for his wealth of knowledge and willingness to jump in to help with projects.
He was known for his great sense of humour along with endless jokes and stories. His wife often lovingly said he could start a conversation with a light post.
His glass was endlessly half full and was able to see the good in everything and everyone. He would give the shirt off his back and was famous for saying “What you give you will receive.” It is believed that Horst gave more than he could ever receive on earth and he is receiving blessings tenfold in Heaven.
