Obituary of Ernest Aitzetmueller

May 29, 1926 - October 18, 2008

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our dear husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather Ernest "Ernie" Aitzetmueller who passed away peacefully on October 18th, 2008.

Born in Austria in 1926, he immigrated to Canada in 1952. Ernie's greatest passions were his family and creating things with his mind, music and hands. Ernie owned and operated a successful Auto Body business for 30 years in Sarnia, Ontario. Ernie then retired to Mayook, B.C., in 1991, where he built a home on 50 acres with a spectacular view of the Rocky Mountains.

Ernie loved to be out on his land, cutting firewood and enjoying the beauty of nature. Ernie was predeceased by his daughter, Susanne Eva in 1977, and is survived by his loving wife Ida (of 54 years). He is lovingly remembered by his daughter Christa (Mike) Knight, his son Rich (Lindie), his 3 grandchildren: Nathan (Katie), Ian (Kendall) and Dani, his 4 great-grandchildren: Craig, James, Ella and Daigen.

At Ernie's request, there will not be a service.
