So many great memories. Irene was my aunt (my mom's sister) and we called her Aunty Sis. She had such a wonderful sense of humour. The one that immediately comes to mind was when my sister & I were little and visiting - mom, Aunty Sis, my sister & I were all snuggled together in the morning in bed and Aunty Sis stood up and said she loved the Jolly Green Giant and sang "Ho Ho Ho" (like the old commercial) and we all just burst out laughing. For years after that, all she had to do was sing out "Ho Ho Ho" and we would start laughing again. They broke the mould when she was made. What a woman! What a life! I'm sorry I didn't send condolences earlier but I just found this. I didn't know her last surviving son, David, had passed away and I was actually looking for that. I love the picture you all picked out of her. It's lovely. I loved Aunty Sis, she was always our 2nd mom and I'd like to send my love to Marlene, Laurie, "L'il" David (Red) and Jimmy and all of the rest of her surviving family. - Marilu (Houle) Barry
