Obituary of Norma Gartner

Please share a memory of Norma to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Norma Gartner (nee Ens) 1941 - 2018 Norma Gartner, born March 24, 1941 in Blumenhof, SK, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, October 1st, 2018 surrounded by her loving husband and family. Norma is survived by her best friend and loving husband of 57 years Albert Gartner, her five daughters Stacey (Gordon) Huckabay, Wendy (Brant) Griffith, Tammy (Rocky) Phillips, Brenda Kleisdorff and Amy (Remi) Fournier; her sister Susan Peters and brother Marvin Ens; her twelve grandchildren Nadine, Michelle, Kryslin, Stephanie, Jennifer, Laura, Joshua, Cody, Kiersten, Amber, Ashlie and Makayla and many great-grandchildren. Norma is pre-deceased by her parents, Frank and Agatha Ens, her brothers John Ens, Sonny Ens, Jake Ens and Ben Ens and her sisters Anne Klassen and Mary Cowie. Norma loved to spend time with her family and friends; she loved reading and was an avid garage saler (we're pretty sure her neighbour Eileen is showing her the best sales in Heaven right now). She loved her flower beds and could grow anything. Norma's children and especially her grandchildren and great-grand children were her pride and joy. Norma was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will be remembered for the self-less love that she gave to all. In lieu of flowers, please treasure your family and your loved ones, as Norma has always done. God's Garden God looked around his garden And found an empty place, He then looked down upon the earth And saw your tired face. He put his arms around you And lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful He always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering He knew you were in pain. He knew that you would never Get well on earth again. He saw the road was getting rough And the hills were hard to climb. So he closed your weary eyelids And whispered, 'Peace be Thine'. It broke our hearts to lose you But you didn't go alone, For part of us went with you The day God called you home. Arrangements entrusted to McPherson Funeral Service.
