We are all broken hearted over the loss of Auntie Norma. She has been a great friend to both my Mom and Terry! I am not sure she knew how deeply she touched our lives - her thoughtfulness and kindness will never be forgotten. She always had a welcoming smile and a warm hug for us whenever we saw them out at the farm. Auntie you have earned your angels wings and more, rest easy now. To the Gartner family you now have an amazing angel watching over you. Love and hugs Eileen & Glen Horel and families

Aunty Norma was someone I always looked forward to seeing! She was always kind and had a smile for you. She was my mom's best friend and it meant a lot to her to have Aunty Norma through the years to share the experience of life with her. She was a wonderful person and I, among many, was blessed to have had her in my life. My heart is with Uncle Al and her family at this time.
Rest in peace Aunty.
Love Shauna & Emily

I was saddened to read Alexandria's post about Norma's passing on the Feast Day of Saint Theresa of the Little Flower:rose:Norma was a very special friend and neighbor to my cousin Eileen who introduced us. Norma made you feel so welcomed and we became friends instantly. She and Albert had a bed for me when I was in Kimberly for Eileen's funeral.:pensive:My sincere condolences to Albert and family... I'm sure Eileen had the teapot on and some sweets ready to greet her dear friend. Sending hugs from Beverly, Laurence Nicole and Thomas.

Aunty Norma was a gentle and kind soul. She loved family, and She was so proud of her grand babies. As a child Aunty Norma sat with her siblings at Grandma Ens' long table in the kitchen, on the farm, to play 31 (cards.). They always included us kids too. Years later I caught up with Aunty Norma on a phone call and she told me all about her grandkids and was thrilled to catch up with me though many years had passed. She told me of a grandchild of hers who watched on one day as she took carrots from the garden. Her grandchild looked on in utter amazement and said "Grandma you keep your carrots in the dirt? We keep ours in the fridge?!"
When my Dad passed her and Albert made the decision and long journey to come to Quesnel to pay respects to her brother. We had a great visit and she told me of a humorous story of my Dad when he won a large sum of money at a casino down there and she encouraged me to share this at his funeral.
I'm so thankful she came to my Dad's funeral and I got to get to know her again. To all of my cousins, I feel your pain and sorrow. To Uncle Albert I'm so sorry for your loss of the love of your life. She will be there still in your hearts and memories, and in spirit.
Rest In Peace Aunty Norma, and hugs to Bernie xoxo
