Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.
Psalm 116:15
It is with earthly sadness and Heavenly joy that our family announces the passing of our dad, Harry Hutchinson.
Dad lost his short battle with cancer on January 24, 2012. Dad was born in Natal, B.C., on November 9,1933 to Bob and Nettie Hutchinson. Dad was the oldest of 10 children. He was a family man through and through.
He was predeceased by his mother Nettie, his dad Bob, his son James in 1997, and his wife of 44 years Bonnie in 2004.
Dad was always a hard worker. At a young age he quit school to help his dad in the firewood business, working most of his life in the Elko mill. He raised his family in Fernie until 1974 when they moved to Elko and then onto Cranbrook in 1984 where he lived until his passing.
Dad always had a smile for those around him and was always happy for a visit. His grandchildren and great grandchildren have been a source of pride and laughter to him. The family spent many summers camping out at Lakit Lake and Horseshoe Lake. Cards was a favorite pastime of dads. Dad will be missed by his children, Wendy and Fritz Teyke of Saskatoon, SK, Nettie and Ron Clark of Cranbrook, Bob of Cranbrook, Frank and Julie of Vanderhoof, BC and Gordon and Jennifer of Red Deer, AB.
Also missed by his grandchildren Trina and Lance Kroeze (Abby, Reilyn and Liliana) of Cranbrook, Jenna and Dave Broda (Abby and Sadie) of Saskatoon, SK, Jordan and Kristi Teyke of Victoria, Shaun deGraaf of Elkford, Brennan deGraaf of Cranbrook, Bethany deGraaf of Vancouver, Kade deGraaf of Cranbrook. Robert Hutchinson (Garrett) of Cranbrook, Darelyn Hutchinson (Amber) of Cranbrook. Brandon, Sophie and Meghan Hutchinson of Vanderhoof, BC. Cameron and Dustin Hutchinson of Cranbrook. Kelsey, Cayle, Benjamin and Orrin Hutchinson of Red Deer, AB. His step mother Lavern Hutchinson of Cranbrook. 7 brothers and 2 sisters in the Fernie, Prince George and Black Diamond, AB area and many nieces and nephews.
We will miss you dad but look forward to our reunion in Heaven soon. Give Mom and Jamie a hug for us.
