I met Dennis when he first started working with Brisco Wood Preservers. Over time, as we became better acquainted he shared stories about his family and activities. Over time I got to meet Adriana and David, and through the numerous pictures he had, I knew about Debbie and the grandchildren. I don't recall hearing any stories about Dennis's family that did not involve a smile and a laugh.
Dennis was a bit of a book hawk and we would exchange verbal notes on the stories he had read. Even more fun was the hunting for good used books, and exchanging stories on the used book stores themselves.
Dennis was also fond of fishing and camping at Dunbar. It seemed that a fishing/camping trip to Dunbar was a vacation as good as you could get anywhere - no matter what your budget.
I know that since he retired he has been in my thoughts numerous times although I did not connect with him. I liked Dennis and I will miss him.
