I was very sorry to hear of the transition of Mr. Paterson. I remember him when I was growing up here in Kimberley. I also had the pleasure of sharing this past Valentine's Day dinner at Garden View with him, Katie Pohl and my Mom. He was a very nice man. Blessings to the family at this time of sorrow. May he rest in peace.

To the Patterson families,
My deepest sympathy in the loss of your father and "grandpa". I remember him as a very kind and gentle spoken person. Always had time for a chat and warm smile.
I know you will cherish the memories of your Dad and mother too, as they were a loving couple.
Sincerely,
Norma Buttignol

We are so sorry to hear the sad news. Jim and his beautiful wife Joyce lived upstairs in our Morrison Sub house when they were first married in l948. Jim was with me up the Bull River when I bagged my first deer, a big 4 point blacktail - I was age l4 at the time. Had a most pleasant visit with Jim in July of this year and we talked about the good old days in Kimberley. He is the last person in Kimberley that knew me when I was a rowdy little kid!!

Jim,
God bless your soul.
You were always kind, gentle, but tough, with a great humour and warmth.
You raised a good bunch of boys and you were always so welcoming and hospitable to all their friends.
A couple days after starting work on the belts, underground, I remember accidentally hosing you down when you came to check on me... Sorry!! You just smiled and wiped your face off, gave me a little chat and went on to check on the other fellows.
Rest in peace Jim.

Thinking of all of you. I remember Jim and Joyce always having time for a chat when we wandered by their house. Jim was a soft spoken gentle man who just beamed when he was with his grandchildren. You were so lucky to have both your grandparents just down the street Paula and Tracy . Hold the memories close. It isn't easy losing a parent at any age Terry . Hugs for both you and Shirley. Jim will be missed.

So sorry to hear of your loss Paterson family. I didn't know Jim until he was a granddad. I loved that he was so involved in his grandchildren's lives. Although he appeared to be a quiet man, he was a delight to sit down and chat with. It is never easy to say good-bye but when you know that you are loved and you love in return, you can enjoy the wonderful memories made together.
May the Peace of God fill your hearts.
Shirlea & Keith
