Obituary of Dora Holmberg

(nee Blood)

August 17, 1928 - December 29, 2011

Dora suffered a major stroke on December 26, 2011 and passed away peacefully on December 29, 2011 in the Invermere and District Hospital in Invermere, British Columbia.

She celebrated a wonderful Christmas in the mountains with her family. She is survived by Sue Trigg (Gary), Rob Holmberg (Faye), grandchildren Kristofor, Heidi and Karla Holmberg, Blair, Patrick and Krissy Trigg. Dora was predeceased by her husband Dave on April 20, 2002 and her brother Reg Blood in 2009.

The family thanks Dr. Ross and the nursing staff at the Invermere Hospital for their compassionate care.

A celebration of life for Dora and Dave will be held on January 8, 2012 at 1:30 pm at the Derrick Golf and Winter Club (3500 - 119th Street, Edmonton, Alberta). Donations in honour of Dora may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta, NWT and Nunavut, 100, 119 - 14th Street NW, Calgary, Alberta, T2N 1Z6 or the Invermere and District Hospital, 850 - 10th Avenue, Invermere, British Columbia, V0A 1A0.
