Dearest Helga, Linda, and Joanne,
I just found out today and I'm deeply saddened about your loss of Don. Although I'm thousands miles away from Canada, my thoughts are with you and I wish you strength during this difficult time.

I can't thank Don and you enough once again for everything you have done for me throughout my stay in Invermere and at your family home. You treated me no differently than my parents in Turkey; loving, caring and helping at all times…
I collected many delightful memories during the time I spent with you both. You took me to many fascinating places-Panorama's Hills, the Rockies, the Hot Springs, the Skies, and many others… The farewell party you organised for me was so thoughtful of you and unforgettable.
Don was a special person with big heart and great sense of humour. He was always there for me, he introduced me to a lot of people in the Rotary Club and the wider community. He always encouraged me to experience new things for me to make the best of my time there. I never forget the first day Don took me to Panorama Ski Hill and patiently taught me how to ski. Every minute I spent with him was so worth it. I will sadly miss him.
