Obituary of Christina May Butler

1933 - 2011

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Christina May Butler announces her passing in Cranbrook, British Columbia on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at 78 years of age.

Christina was born on February 11, 1933 in Wainwright, Alberta. She was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed gardening, baking and seeing her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren all growing up happy. If Chris wasn't chasing a grand or great grandchild you found her gardening or relaxing watching the birds from her front window.

Chris is survived by her daughter Laura Evans (Mike), Doris Gripich (Dean), Brad Butler (Josie), Gord Butler (Kerri), 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Wes Butler.

A memorial service for Christina will take place in the McPherson Funeral Home Chapel in Cranbrook on Monday, November 21, 2011 at 1:00 pm. Those wishing to make a memorial donation in honour of Christina may do so to the: Canadian Cancer Society, 19 - 9th Avenue South, Cranbrook, British Columbia, V1C 2L9.
