Art was a gentleman and a true friend. He was so faithful about visiting my dad when he was in hospital, Green Home and finally the Pines. Art and dad enjoyed hitting the greens and breakfast at Our Place, sometimes forgetting whose turn it was to pay. He will be missed.

I will always remember Art as being a warm and friendly man who was always ready to share a laugh. I feel lucky to have played several rounds of golf with him and my dad (Dick Robison) over the years and those are times I will always cherish.
Last September Art had come up to the Pines to play cards with my dad not knowing that I and my family were visiting at the time. We had a nice visit and during that time Art said he usually visited dad weekly in order to keep his mind working through playing cards. That was Art, a good person and thoughtful friend.
I want to express our sincere condolences to Art's family and friends on the loss of such a genuine and warm guy. He will be missed by all.

Art was such a dear friend to my Dad, the late Dick Robison. I know he valued the friendship greatly. I hope they have already teed off for their first round of 18 holes in heaven! My deepest sympathies to the family.

To all the Burrows clan in the west we send our sincere condolences.
I have many wonderful memories of my cousin "Babe". From my first trip west at 10 to my last trip west at 50 something, I saw my cousin. He was a character and loved a good story and a laugh. He also loved coming east, having some tasty seafood fresh from the ocean, and hanging out with the relatives. We always had a good time wherever we were. The last time I saw him was when Bruce and I were in BC on business. We did a little tour around the interior and managed to have breakfast with him before we had to head back to Whistler. He had been on the golf course prior to that!
Thinking of you all across the miles.
Connie (Burrows) and Bruce Monk

Art was always a favourite in our family (his Uncle Vic and Aunt Gerry), and I grew up hearing about Art, his family and his parents. Many of the stories included laughter as did his visits back to Nova Scotia. Art loved life and lived it well. Years ago, when we took our kids on a tour of the West, Art and Lorraine provided a Family Reunion Celebration for us; and we all have wonderful memories of that day. Although saddened by the news of his death, we know you all have wonderful memories to help you through these sad days. Love Joan and Terry (Burrows/Fisher, Cole Harbour, NS)

So sorry to hear of Art's passing. Enjoyed his company on the ski hill and on the golf course. His special parking space at the ski will not be the same without Art's car in it.
Barb & my condolences go out to his family.

Art was a grand fellow and we feel privileged to count him as a friend. He always had a smile and words of cheer whenever you met him. Art will be missed by many. Our children Blair and Brenda were saddened to hear of his passing as they spent time with Art and Maxine with their cousins Jean Ann and Delayne.

The last time I was in the company of Art was in early May at the open house for Norm Hallmark, I so enjoyed our chat, forever the engaging conversationalist. Prior to this I had not seen Babe for 5 years and although his physical appearance had changed his wonderful spirit was intact. He knew at this time that his days were limited but remained upbeat and grateful to have lived the life he had. He also spoke so eloquently about his children and grandchildren and knew he had loved and was loved.
What more is there??? I am honoured to have known this gracious man and even more honoured to be part of the upcoming celebration.
Blessings to all of his family. Debbie McArthur

"Unc" is how we referred to Uncle Art. Unc was a wonderful Uncle to us all and we are going to miss him dearly. So many fond memories at Unc and Auntie Maxine's as a child. I will always remember the all out water fights and picking raspberries in their garden. Love you lots Unc :)
