Please share a memory of Corrina to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
1962 - 2010
Corrina Girling of Cranbrook, British Columbia passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at the age of 48 years surrounded by her adoring husband Dave; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law Mand and Mike; and her two favourite nieces from the coast Jenn and Suzy. Her favourite horse Travis and her dog Brittany were waiting for her.
Corrina is survived by her husband Dave; her mother Doris Noble and father George Noble of Vancouver, British Columbia; her brothers and their immediate families and so many friends. Corrina was born in Richmond, British Columbia on January 17, 1962. She took up riding as soon as she could mount a horse. She met the love of her life Dave when she was 19 and they were married on September 7, 1991. Together Dave and Corrina amassed a great life together, living in Kelowna, 100 Mile House and most recently in Cranbrook for the last 8 years. Corrina was always there standing beside Dave and giving him the push he needed to create and build several Chrysler-Dodge Dealerships.
Corrina had a passion for life! Never one to sit idle, Corrina always had a project on the go whether it be in their home or taking care of their many animals to which always were Corrina's best friends in life. Together Corrina and Dave travelled thousands of miles across North America competing in Quarter Horse Shows at the highest competitive level; making new friends and experiences. Corrina especially loved the times when they travelled on special holidays, just her and Dave. He was Corrina's world!
Corrina was a true lady at heart; with class, charisma and beauty! Never was a time in Corrina's short life that every "I" was not dotted and every "T" not crossed! She approached every single day with vigour and passion.
Corrina had many loves in her life, first and foremost her husband Dave, but their horses never came second to anyone or anything and were definitely the very best cared for in the entire world; Wyatt, Griffin, Tee Jay and Marika and lets not forget Lewis the cat.
Although Corrina's life was too short, she leaves a strong legacy for the remainder of us to live by each day; honesty, commitment, and the drive for perfection only to name a very few. Corrina has left behind a "standard" to which we will continue to strive for and will be missed by all whose lives she touched. Krystal, we know that she would especially want you to be remembered and thanked.
A celebration of Corrina's life will be held on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at 3:00 pm in Whiterock, British Columbia at the Victory Memorial Chapel, 14831 - 28th Avenue, Surrey, British Columbia, V4P 1P3.
