Obituary of Lois Bernice Docking

1929 - 2011

Lois passed away peacefully at the "Pines" in Kimberley, British Columbia on September 4, 2011 at 82 years of age.

Lois was born on July 17, 1929 in Wadena, Saskatchewan. She was known for her warm mittens and colourful blankets she knit. She loved her home and garden. Her home was always a warm and welcoming place for her children and grandchildren. She loved nature and spent many hours walking and canoeing in the lakes around Cranbrook with her husband "Doc".

Left to mourn her passing are her husband Gordon Docking, son Tom (Betsy) and their children Rod, Annie, Samantha and Christie; daughter Kathleen Rice (Thomas) and their children Heather Rice (Shane) and Jennifer Carscience (Jeff); and daughter Lori (Sean) and their children Keegan and Cooper. She was predeceased by her parents Albert and Edith McConnell, sisters Doris Letters, Joyce McGibney, brother Albert McConnell and grandson Daniel Holland.

A family held memorial service will take place in Kimberley.
