Mary Louise Apps-Stober
Mary Louise "Mary Lou" Apps-Stober (nee Beedle) left her earthly body and pain behind early the morning of May 2, 2015. Ever the caregiver, she reassured her devoted husband that all would be okay even as she took her last breaths. She had accepted the call home to meet Jesus and looked forward to seeing those who had gone before her. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends during her last days. She is now pain free and smiling down with pride on all the children she helped raise and the projects that others will carry on for her.
Mary Lou housed a beautiful, warm, nurturing soul that touched the lives of everyone she came in contact with during her time on Earth. As a sister she helped her father care for her younger siblings during her mother's final illness. As a wife she has always been supportive and caring. As Jack will attest, Mary Lou was always there for him.
As a mother Mary Lou raised her three daughters in a whirlwind of activity and charitable work. She fostered children giving them the same loving upbringing she gave her own. She was the neighborhood mother and every child who entered her life called her 'mom'.
As a caregiver Mary Lou looked out for the poor and the vulnerable. Her children had many 'grandparents' as she brought the elderly she cared for into the family. Along the way Mary Lou nurtured her own entrepreneurial spirit with a second hand store. This satisfied another passion Mary Lou had to recycle and reuse.
Mary Lou enjoyed traveling and was able to combine it with her other passions when she and Jack began traveling to Mexico. They started a daycare/orphanage to help care for and feed underprivileged children. Their Christmas Outreach project touched the lives of many others.
Mary Lou leaves behind her husband Jack Stober, daughters Walleah Moody, Wanesa Anderson, Wanda Edgar (Gary), stepdaughters Joanne Stober, Irene Stober, grandchildren Shyanne, Ryan, Krystal, Jason, Marcus, Marlon, Richard, Melynda, Clint, Nicole, Chad, and nine great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Mary Lou on Monday, May 18th at Rotary Park in Cranbrook, BC at 4:00 pm with a potluck to follow. In case of inclement weather the celebration will be moved to 131 - 7th Avenue South. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Connect Church Mission Fund.
Arrangements entrusted to McPherson Funeral Service.
