Obituary of Mildred Jean Foster

1936 - 2011

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Mildred Jean Foster announces her passing on Monday, July 18, 2011 in Cranbrook, British Columbia at 74 years of age.

Millie was born on August 12, 1936 in Amisk, Alberta. Millie lived in Chetwynd, British Columbia for many years and worked at the schools as a custodian. She moved to Cranbrook, British Columbia to enjoy her retirement. Millie had a heart of gold. She could always see the good in people and was there to help somebody out if they needed it.

Millie's family would like to extend their thanks and gratitude to the staff at Joseph Creek Care Village for their exceptional care given to Millie during her stay at the Care Home.

Millie is survived by her daughter Connie (Bruce) Dodd, sons Alan Foster, Keith Foster and Doug (Carla) Foster, sister Carol (Walter) Snaychuk, brothers John (Judy) Elmquist, Don Elmquist and grandchildren Darren, Samantha, Faith, Quynne, Thoran, Shane, Lesley and Jennifer, her ex-husband Ross Foster, as well as many other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her son Ken Foster.

There will be no funeral service at Mildred's request. Those wishing to make a memorial donation in honour of Millie may do so to the ALS Society.
