Dorothy Bernice Thompson March 28, 1937 - January 21, 2015 It is with great sadness that the family of Dorothy Thompson announces her passing on Wednesday, January 21, 2015. Dorothy worked as a secretary for many years at T.M. Roberts School. She loved to golf, curl and travel. One of the highlights in her life was a cruise she took through the Panama Canal. Dorothy was proud to be a farm girl from Saskatchewan and was overflowing with "Rider Pride". In the last years of her life she enjoyed the company of her dog Chloe. The family would like to thank her doctors, Dr. Davis and especially Dr. Niedermayer, for their excellent care. Dorothy will be missed by her sons Gregory Thompson of Grande Prairie, AB and Bradley (Crystal) of Cranbrook, grandchildren Cory and Steve of Cranbrook, Jessica and Dan of Cranbrook and Nicole and Dave of Medicine Hat, AB, great grandson Jordan of Cranbrook, brother Jim Exelby of Surrey, BC, sisters Gladys Crawford of Regina, SK, Marjorie MacKenzie of Red Deer, AB and twin sister Doreen Gillies of Regina, SK. Dorothy was predeceased by her parents Harold and Nora Exelby, her husband Ken Thompson, brothers William Exelby, Gerald Exelby and Ross Exelby and sisters Verna Mireau and Zelma Exelby. By Dorothy's request there will be no service.
