Obituary of Evelyn Florence Nord

1936 - 2010

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Evelyn Florence Nord announces her passing on Friday, June 11, 2010 in Jaffray, British Columbia.

Evelyn was born on May 22, 1936 in Barrhead, Alberta. She leaves to mourn her passing, her loving husband Elmer; her two daughters: Jo-Ann (Arvid) Myhre of Vernon, British Columbia and Karin Johnson (Wayne) of Bellevue, Alberta; her step-son Chris Nord of Calgary, Alberta; her grandchildren: Graham Harl, Amanda (Mark) Potvin and their children: Chance, Tegan, Ella and Ava; Kristy Ingham, Lee Anna Ingham and her sons: Skyler and Tyson; her sisters and brother: Kay, Irene, Juanita, Donna, Gayle, Wayne and Marlene; brother-in-law Allan; sister-in-law Lily; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Tillie (Freiburger) MacDonnell.

A memorial service for Evelyn will be held at the McPherson Funeral Home in Cranbrook on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 1:00 pm. There will be a private family only Interment for Evelyn in the Sand Creek Cemetery, in Jaffray, British Columbia. Those wishing to make a memorial donation in honour of Evelyn may do so to the: Canadian Cancer Society, 19 - 9th Avenue South, Cranbrook, British Columbia, V1C 2L9.
