Obituary of Gerardo Santoro

1935 - 2013

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Gerardo Santoro announces his passing on Thursday, April 11, 2013 in Cranbrook at 78 years of age.

Gerardo was born on April 5, 1935 in Ruvo Del Monte, Italy. Gerardo is survived by his son Vito "Frank" (Stacey) Santoro; daughter Rita (Carlo) Romeo; grandchildren Joseph, Jessica, Morgan and Mackenzie; sisters: Rosa Maruggi of Toronto, Ontario, and Maria Santoro of Rapolla, Italy; brothers: John Santoro of Cranbrook, B.C., Joe Santoro of Niagra On The Lake, Ontario, and Tony Santoro of Sicily, Italy, as well as many other nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving wife Gilda, his mother Margherita Mungiello, father Vito Santoro, brothers Michele Santoro and Frank Santoro.

A visitation for Gerardo will be held at McPherson Funeral Home in Cranbrook on Monday, April 15, 2013 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm. His funeral mass will be held at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Cranbrook on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at 10:00 am. He will be Interred in the Westlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
