Obituary of Lois Leah Beatrice Mills

1925 - 2011

Lois was born September 7, 1925 in West Liss, Hampshire, England. She passed away suddenly on April 27th, 2011 at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook, British Columbia. Lois loved watching birds, taking pictures, gardening and being with her family.

Lois is predeceased by her husband Lawrence (Laurie) Mills of 48 years, and infant daughter Dorthea Beam. She is survived by her sons: Graham Beam, John Beam, Art Beam (Debbie); daughter Lori Mills; step-daughter Debbie Armstrong; brother Austin Seaward of Macduff, Scotland; grandchildren: Sherry Beam (Yves), Tammy Seward (Ed), Rob Beam (Angie), Graham Beam Jr., Derek Beam (Caroline), Amie Rebinsky (Terry), Erin Beam, Trevor Chanski, Kelly Banting (Zac), Cody Hummel, Amy Armstrong, Casey Armstrong and the light of her life her great grandson Liam Banting. Lois will be remembered by 22 grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Lois will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her relatives and many friends.

A memorial tea in honour of Lois will be held at McPherson Funeral Home in Cranbrook on Sunday, May 1, 2011 at 3:00 pm.
