Obituary of Ida Justine Aitzetmueller

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our dear mother, grandmother and great grandmother (OMA) Ida Justine Aitzetmueller who passed away peacefully on January 9, 2025. Born in Austria in 1935 she immigrated to Canada in 1954. Ida’s greatest passion was spending time with her family, friends and the gang at Joseph Creek Village. Ida volunteered with the Red Cross in Ontario and BC.

Ida and her husband Ernie owned and operated a successful Auto Body business for 30 years in Sarnia Ontario. Ida later began work as a pharmacist assistant then both retired to Mayook, BC in 1991. They built a new home on 50 acres with a spectacular view of the Rockies. Ida enjoyed gardening, gathering firewood and enjoying the beauty of nature.

Ida was predeceased by her loving Husband Ernie (of 54 years), daughter, Susanne Eva in 1977. Ida is lovingly remembered by her daughter Christa (Mike) Knight, her son Rich (Lindie), her 3 grandchildren Nathan (Autumn), Ian (Kendall) and Dani, her 7 great grandchildren Craig, James, Ella, Daigen, Nixon, Tom and Will.

At Ida’s request there will be no service.
