My heart goes out to the Farish Family, and of course Ian my childhood friend. I remember that wonderful family and fine home on Brookview crescent. Such a great block with many great neighbors. And to quote a song" I even helped him drink his wine, he always had some mighty fine wine...joy to the world all you boys and girls." The whole family is a great memory of joy to me. Sadly we can't relive those years. But we take our memories with us. Cheers to the memories and deepest condolences to the Farish Family. Love Daniel Fagan.

Although I never knew Blair, we did have a connectiion. The day of the plane crash was a air spotting practice for Search & Rescue. I was sheduled to be in the back seat of that plane but was called back to allow an inexperienced spotter to go instead. I think of that day often, read Blair's book and still cannot imagine the pain he and the pilot went through waiting for rescue and the long recoveries.

My sincere condolences to the family of Blair, he will be missed by so many people. Blair was my physiotherapist for nearly 3 years helping me regain my strength and muscle from a bad car accident which resulted in a compound fracture of the femur and broken hip - he was also very relentless when I really wanted to just give up...I will always remember the machines beeping when I stopped working my leg and him coming back into the room with "the look". His encouragement and sharing his tragic experience with the plane crash made me work harder, as well as feeling foolish when I compared his trials and tribulations in his recovery. Rest in Peace Blair, you will always live on in the hearts of all that you touched, I feel blessed to have known this wonderful and kind man.
