It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barry McLaughlin at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook, surrounded by his family and friends.
Barry was born in Neepawa, Manitoba and was raised in Grandview, Manitoba where he met his wife Nellie. Barry and Nellie moved to Kimberley, British Columbia in 1979. He spent many years in the industry of plumbing & heating, while he enjoyed spending his free time camping and spending time with friends and family well into his retirement.
Barry’s unique sense of humor will be remembered by all.
He had unwavering strength, courage and determination throughout his battle with cancer and will never be forgotten.
Barry is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Nellie, his 3 sons Brent, Todd (Carla), Jason (Candice), his grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as his nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to Dr. Davis and the Kimberley Home Nursing Staff and all who cared for Barry.
He will be sadly missed by family friends and all who knew him.
At Barry’s request there will be no service at this time.
