Obituary of Edith Irene Venables
Please share a memory of Edith to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Released from the confines of her physical presence, her energy no longer is restricted. What emerges is boundless.
Survived by her mother (Margaret), three brothers (Ken, John and Bill), five children (Andrena, Teron, Shannon, Jurri and Rolena), eight grandchildren (7 boys and 1 girl) and her steady companion Lola (doggo).
Born April 9th 1958, Edith grew up climbing fences, trees, and horses. She was musical and had a gift for sewing, usually 24 hrs before its intended use. She was a creator and healer, often endeared as “Granny Good Witch”. She was bold and held an unwavering moral compass. This trait was often mistaken for stubbornness.
Although she made ends meet in various ways, her most rewarding career was that in the service of others. As a young single mother, she completed her degree in Social Services and later continued as a Home Care Provider.
Edith was 100% committed to her children’s success and instilled that strength and character into each of them.
She will appear again and again, in a song, in the rainbows and refractions of light in stained glass, in a moment of beauty or brewing storm, a smell (especially coffee), but particularly in the presence of a waterfall, big or small, she loved them all.
