My fondest memories of Mrs. Meeks - for she will always be Mrs. Meeks to me - seem to always be filled with sunlight. Her sunlit kitchen - warm, inviting and filled most often with the aroma of something delicious. Her laugh, the sound of her voice, that wry smile. Her down-to-earth wisdom so generously given and arms as open, loving and welcoming as her home. How very fortunate I feel to have known such a wonderful lady, and how very fortunate is Heaven to have such a wise new voice.

My sincere condolences to the entire family for the loss of your beautiful mother. I will forever remember Mrs. Meeks as a kind, gentle, and approachable neighbour. I loved her stories of times past and was often impressed by her broad knowledge in many areas. She was a wise woman of great faith. May God hold her in his eternal embrace.

I met Kay when she was a nurse on Maternity in the Cranbrook hospital. I was labouring to deliver my twin sons one was born Quickly but the second one took over an hour longer. Kay was my nurse, she didn’t leave at the end of her shift, she stayed on Comforting and encouraging me. I will never forget her kindness and compassion. May Kay rest in peace and may her loved Ones be comforted.
