Obituary of Deborah Elizabeth Munro
Please share a memory of Deborah to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with great sorrow that the family announces Debbie’s peaceful passing with her family by her side after a brief yet courageous battle with cancer.
Debbie was born in Kimberley to Art and Edna Gold on February 25, 1956 and grew up in the East Kootenays. Debbie loved watching baseball games in Wasa and cheering on the Kimberley Dynamiters, as well as watching her granddaughter Makayla play volleyball. Debbie loved the outdoors, spending many summers camping at White Swan, as well as trips to Flat Head and Shuswap Lake. Debbie was known for embarking on many spur-of-the-moment road trips, always with a cheerful smile.
Debbie is survived by her sons Corey (Tanya), and Jason (Elli), brother Allan, sister Linda, grand daughter Makayla Colleen, niece Dana, Mother Edna and numerous family and friends.
Debbie was predeceased by her loving husband Ronald James Munro, and Father Art Gold.
At Debbie’s request there will be no service, however family and friends will gather to celebrate Debbie’s life at a later date at White Swan Lake.
Many thanks to the doctors and nurses at East Kootenay Regional Hospital for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations in Debbie’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
