Obituary of Carol Ann Priscilla McPhail

1961 - 2011

It is with great sadness that the family of Carol McPhail announces her passing on March 1, 2011 at 49 years of age.

Carol was born on July 24, 1961 in Medicine Hat. Carol is survived by her daughter, Bronwyn (Mitch) and her two precious grandsons, Beau Douglas and Cole Landon; her mother, Elizabeth Shrieves; brother, James (Carol) MacPhail; sister, Sherry (Scott) Adams; and sister-in-law, Vicky Shrieves. She will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her nieces and nephews, Kris, Alison, Michelle, Ryan, Tara, Kelley, Julie, and Amanda, and her aunts, uncles and cousins. Carol was predeceased by her father, Douglas Shrieves; brothers, Randy MacPhail and Bryan Shrieves; sister, Linda Barnhardt; and brother-in-law, Peter McGaw.

Carol's greatest joy was her daughter, Bronwyn and her grandsons. She loved becoming a child again, playing on the floor with them, and have crazy, goofy fun. Her love of the outdoors provided many wonderful moments and adventures which she shared with her family and friends, always with a laugh and a twinkle in her eye.

A celebration of Carol's life will be held March 15, 2011 at the McPherson Funeral Home, in Kimberley, BC at 11:00 am. A reception will immediately follow at the Kimberley Elks Hall. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the BC SPCA or Kimberley Search and Rescue.
