Obituary of Krista Marie Smith

It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Krista on November 29, 2023 in Cranbrook BC.

Krista attended Selkirk Secondary School and graduated in 1999. She went on to become a stylist and graduated as a Red Seal Cosmetologist in 2004. She left the world suddenly at the age of 42. Her greatest pleasure was helping others in need. She was a valued employee of Ankors and helped with the services they provide in the community.

She loved to go camping, fishing with her Dad, and geocaching with her son Riley. Although her lifestyle kept her away from her son she would love nothing more than to spend time with him. Krista also had a great love for her two cats.

Krista is survived by her son Riley Pocha, parents Jim & Alice Smith, brother Randy Smith, sister Melissa Knight, her partner Felipe Prado, nephews Oliver Knight and Noah Prado as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Krista was predeceased by her grandparents and her soulmate Brennon Bauer.

A service in Krista’s memory will be held on December 18^th, 2023 at 2:00pm, at Christ Church Anglican in Cranbrook BC. Everyone who knew and loved Krista is welcome to attend.
