Our deepest condolences. Carl and Janet were often in our home when I was growing up and beyond to play cards or have dinner. Carl and my dad George and a few other fellows sometimes went off into the bush during hunting season. I am not sure they actually hunted but I think they had a great time. There was always a special bond there between Carl and George, the kind where they were comfortable sometimes without talking but being. Carl’s voice always boomed with a kind of welcome, warmth and comfort that made a soul feel seen and valued. Such an amazing man. We are honoured to have had him in our lives.

My condolences go to Carl's family on his passing. I real nice and caring man who I have known since 1958 when he coached me in hockey while I played for the Cranbrook Midget hockey team which won the BC AAA championship. I've talked to him many times over the years at the golf club and more recently at the hospital here in Cranbrook. Always had that wonderful smile and I really enjoyed our interaction. Rest in Peace Carl.
