In the early1970s, when our husbands happened to be working together, I had the very good fortune to meet Janet and her family. Many of her recipes are in my collection, some of which I learned how to make, working with her in their kitchen. She loaned me her Hittleman yoga book, and this has expanded to become a highly valued part of my life. Early in our rural days, she brought her family to help us start a vegetable garden - this photo was taken when she finally sat for a rest that day. In addition to people and plants, she also shared her love & abilities with animals - I will be honoured to re-unite with this dear friend, Janet, along with all our favourite four-legged friends, some day, "over the rainbow bridge".

Had her close the booth to help get horse ready for class I gave her the clear gel and said it was for her nose. Janet looked at me you kiding right. I showed her how to do it and said need to put powder on the white socks. she did. after the horse was ready for her class Janet said never thought I woud be puting makeup on a horse. that night she sits up in bed and says she did good must have been my makeup job. By the time the canadian Nationals came Janet was pretty good at putting makeup on Classic. the last class was around midnight and my turn came had the horse going really good first way secind way I screwed up and only got one second of lopping. at any rate even witn pilot err she got third. Janet was a wonderful mother-in-law to me and grandmother to Neil and Nicholas. She was kind and caring - always interested in the family, and offered advice without being judgemental. She knit many wonderful items for my boys and me. Janet was also an amazing cook - she taught me how to make antipasta and how to bake bread. She was a positive influence in my life and I have many great memories of her - rest in peace Grandma xxoo.
