Obituary of Autumn Marie Nicholas

Autumn passed away in ʔaq̓am on Sept 10, 2023 at the age of 22.

 

Autumn grew up on ʔaq̓am reserve Cranbrook B. C., where she attended ʔaq̓amnik Primary School on the ʔaq̓am Reserve.  She then attended Laurie Middle School and enrolled in Kootenay Educational Services in Cranbrook  to complete grade 11.

 

After completing grade 11 she moved to Calgary to explore living away from her home.  After a year she returned home on September 3^rd where Grandma Elaine welcomed her home with a birthday party.

 

Autum had so many friends.  Many of her friends were from her childhood.  She had a unique way of staying in touch with her childhood friends.

 

She was predeceased by her Grandfather, David James McCoy, Uncle Jason Edwards, Aunt Roxanne Wolfhead, Cousin Christopher Adams and Cousin Peter Stevens.

 

She is survived by her Father Quanah Nicholas, Mother Tracy Edwards, Grandmother Elaine Edward, Grandmother Beatrice Stevens (Michel), Grandfather Wilber Nicholas, Brother Andre Nicholas and Sister Kassandra Stevens.

 

A Wake will be held Sunday, September 17, 2023 5:00 pm at the Dan Joe Memorial Gym on ʔaq̓am Reserve, Cranbrook.

Services will be held Monday, September 18, 2023 11:00 am at Dan Joe Memorial Gym on ʔaq̓am Reserve, Cranbrook BC.

A Feast and Giveaway will follow the Services.
