Obituary of Ken Stadel
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved, Ken Stadel on May 19th , at home, surrounded by his family, after a short but courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Ken leaves behind his wife Lori of 46 years, his sons Kris and Cody (Kate) & the light of his eyes his grandson, Declan. Also his brothers Orv (Joyce) and Fred (Penny), inlaws Dave (Ruth), Linda (Dave), Vicki (Monty), Tim (Irene), Nancy (Hal), Betsy (Gerry), extended family Ed and Helen and many friends. Ken had a passion for his job at Sd5 and loved reading, music, his guitars, riding his motorcycle and a cold beer. In his early years he enjoyed touring in a Country band building up a mountain of stories, experiences, and friendships. The family has comfort knowing he is in the heavens with loved ones and his best friend Randy, where they can play music together once again. The family would like to express gratitude to Dr. K. McIver, Justin and the whole IH support team for their compassion and care. The family would like to thank everyone for the flowers, gift baskets, etc, being sent; some are arriving without sender names, we thank you. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the band program at MBSS by calling the school's front office at 250 426 5241. Keep the music playing!
