I shall miss our 'Joanie', a dear friend, curler supreme as well as and ardent golfer. Always touching everything with a unique sense of humour, Joan will be greatly missed by family and friends. Joan cared about her family, her friends and her business and we'll not be able to replace her or her naughty little laugh!

Always will remember the fun we had curling together. Stranded in Kimberley during a snow storm at a bonspiel. Her mother was kind enough to put our whole team up for the night. Joan was always so kind and respectful. Will miss her in the walking club.

I am so very, very sorry to hear of Joan's passing. I met Joan when I was 14 and we often walked to McKim School together and became good friends. She was a great person and a dear friend. After graduation, we went our separate ways, pursuing our dreams, yet we always remained friends. I will miss her very much. My sincere condolences to you Don and family at this very sad time.
