Joy was the beauty of God's Creation.
She came to visit me when I was living at Mont-Saint-Hilaire. She was about eight years old. She was full of life, very adorable. I will always treasure the many photos of her.
She was in her element when she was playing her violin. Listen, this is my own composition, as she was telling me.
This was the last time I saw her, about five years ago.
The Thought of her brings a painful feeling to my heart. Why such tragedy happens? God is suppose to be
Merciful.
Joy, you will be always remembered. May your Soul rest in peace.
Your great-grandma Rita.

My name is Layne Benoit, Joy was in my Class in grade 4 when I moved to Cranbrook. Our parents became best friends and we did a lot of things together like, celebrate Birthdays, play board games, watch movies, go bowling, swimming, and we went camping a few times. The last time we went camping we went for a bike ride and we had a lot fun. Joy was so nice and a caring person. We talked about books, stories, and future projects, she wanted to do some tattoos and was working on a portfolio. We miss her so much, and she will live on forever in our memories. The Benoit and Caron family. Love you! Joy forever in ours hearts.

My memories of Joy are first, her smile. I can close my eyes and see it instantly. What a great smile. Second, her kind, loving and caring soul, she was ahead of her time in maturity and I enjoyed every visit I had with her. Third memory I'll share is when I took her for driver training. As a professional driver I had a lot of advice and Joy eagerly soaked it in and always had so many relevant and intelligent questions. I was very impressed with her ability to learn. I could tell her Mom Gen put a lot of effort into Joy's education, I'm so sorry for your loss Gen, I know your heart is hurting so much. Joy effortlessly blended into any situation and was always so much fun. God speed Joy, until we meet again.

I remember Joy as a happy delightful young lady, who loved her dear ferret so very much and who was over the top with the arrival of her new twin sisters. Always creative and full of energy, she brightened up any room she was in and warmed the hearts of anyone around her.
She was beautiful member of our family and will be greatly missed. Auntie Louise

My daughter Naomi met Joy in Grade 9 and they were friends from then on. Naomi has a twin brother who Joy met first. When she found out he had a twin sister Joy was on a mission to meet Naomi because she has twin sisters herself that she cherished. Naomi and Joy became instant pals and shared a tight bond of everlasting friendship. Joy became a constant part of our household.

Joy was always so generous, trustworthy, and responsible. She had a kindhearted nature that I felt comfortable around my children. I always pictured her soul as an angel when I knew her. Now I will keep that memory of her forever in my heart. The world was truly a better a place with her in it and it greatly saddens my heart for everyone that will never know her.
