Tribute to a Truck Driving Legend - My Dad
The world lost a legend on December 7, 2022. Driving truck was in your heart and soul. I admired you for how hard you worked, and watching you as I grew up going day after day (no matter the time or weather), to earn a living to support your family. For over 60 years you drove that 18 wheeler mainly on the left coast, over the mountains on those greasy roads, freezing temps, throwing irons, constantly down-stroking, meanwhile watching out for Bambi's.
Dad, you taught me to work hard, never give up, be yourself and take pride in who you are and what you do. You have always been my idol (and Hero).
We made good memories together. We cried together and we laughed together. You may not be here in the physical world dad, but you will always be with me and alive in my memories and in my heart. You are what makes me strong and want to be a better person. Dad, for all you taught me, I want to say Thank you. I will always love you. This is not Goodbye dad. Tomorrow would have been your 83rd Birthday. This is Happy Birthday. We will see each other again one day. Until then, I will be thinking of you and missing you. I will not grieve for long dad, because I know that is not what you want. Just know that my heart and soul is always with you. Happy Birthday. I love and miss you terribly Dad.
