Felix was such a lovely man - we adored hearing “The Story Teller” in action. Always so knowledgable - in so many ways… managing to carefully slip in his wonderful sense of humour was always a given.
The Legere family have been life long friends to the Carver’s - throughout a lifetime of changes for our “Old-Time Families”, we are thankful for this bond.
With a smile on our faces - we say “So Long Felix” and thanks for the stories… Frankie & Kelly Reekie.

Dear Dada,
I know you're reading this from up above and you are watching over all of us. I want to take this time to thank you for everything
you've done for myself and those around you. You were always a breath of fresh air, and when you walked into a room your
presence was instantly felt. Who could forget that amazing laugh of yours. You're ability to brighten up anyones day will
always remain with me.
I'll never forget the words you told me, the words which have stuck with me up until this very day. We were sitting in the back of the car together on our way to dinner. And we were at a stop light at oak and 57th in Vancouver. You said something to me which I tell my friends all the time, you said "James, you see that beautiful house on the corner there? If you work hard enough, you too can have a house like that one day." They say, it's the little moments in life that leave a lasting impact, and that little moment we shared definitely did. I remember it like it was yesterday. I use that moment as motivation in any case of my life. You were truly the definition of hard work. The stories of how it was like working back then only make me wish that I can work half has hard as you did one day. You will truly be missed by myself and everyone.
I know you're up there resting with marquis on your lap and enjoying a nice whisky on the rocks, so save a drink for me when we meet again. I love you Dada.
Yours Truly,
James Leonor

My condolences to Dave and family. I enjoyed every visit I had with Felix, he was quick to laugh and share a story. Felix was always ready for a little ‘snort’ of whiskey so the few times I snuck in a ‘snort’ to the green home we would have a good giggle! Felix will be missed my many

My condolences to David and Bev on the passing of their father'. I've known Felix for many years and have enjoyed sitting with Herman, Burt, and Felix at the round table. While they discuss the problems of the World and how to solve them. It's too bad that the talking never went further than the kitchen table. Felix was a character that only got better with time. We had many talks together that could last 4-5 hours in a single day.
I will miss you and the smile that went on forever.

I send my sincere sympathies to Felix's family. He was a wonderful, kind and generous man who loved his family dearly. I had many visits and conversations with him over the years and he always had an interesting story to tell and he always made me laugh. I also loved his infectious laugh. He will long be remembered.
