Obituary of Adele Lucille Belanger
Please share a memory of Adele to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Adele was the youngest in a family of seven. Two sisters and four brothers, born to Louise and Edmond Belanger, in New Westminster BC. While Adele had learning difficulties, she was determined and a survivor. Beneath her gentle spirit and demeanor was a rock solid will. She embraced the flower child culture of her era, and would often go walk-about when the restless spirit called. She undoubtedly would have many interesting stories to tell of her adventures. She was our rambling rose.
She was predeceased by her parents, brothers Wilfrid, Richard, Alain and Leo, her sister Marie and her son Brian.
She will be remembered by her sister Annette, sisters-in-law Madeleine and Brenda, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She passed away peacefully at Tamarack Cottage in Cranbrook. Many thanks to those who cared for her in her final years.
A remembrance ceremony and inurnment blessing will be held for her in the summer, in Surrey.
Donations can be made in her memory to any lung foundation or homeless shelter.
