Obituary of Florence Alice West (Nee Brown)

March 25^th, 1939 – November 28^th, 2021

 

Florence was born and raised in Kimberley, British Columbia, and was well known around the community.

She had a huge circle of friends, many since childhood. She was always so thoughtful and caring. Florence was an avid golfer, and always up for shopping, lunch, or dinner out, or a trip to the casino.

 

Over the years Florence worked as a flight attendant for Trans Canada Airlines, at the Sullivan mine office, at the Kimberley Medical Clinic and for many years at Crestbrook Forest Industries.

 

Florence married Roy West in 1963, and then followed the birth of their daughter, Darcy, in 1968.

 

Florence is survived by her daughter Darcy, son-in-law Carey, grandson Dylan and her brother, Bob Brown.

 

Florence was predeceased by her husband Roy, mother Katherine and her father Robert.

 

A Celebration of Life gathering in honour of Florence will take place in early 2022.
