Obituary of David John Sherdahl

December 7, 1952 – September 3, 2021

 

With sadness we announce the passing of Dave, in Cranbrook, B.C. on September 3, 2021. At the age of 68.

 

Dave grew up in Dundurn, Saskatchewan. In 1979 he moved to Sparwood, B.C. working his way to achieving his Heavy-Duty Mechanics Certification in 1981. He met and married his first wife Shelly in 1986, and Dave and Shelly welcomed their son Trev in 1988.  Dave and Shelly parted ways in 1992.  Dave moved to Calgary in 1988, then back to Elkford in 1989 when he started working for Transwest (now SMS). He retired in 2012 and moved to Cranbrook. He met and married his 2^nd wife Winona “Nonie” and they spent his happy retirement years camping, spending time with his animals, and looked forward to the Sunday get togethers with his friends. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him. The Sunday get-togethers will never be the same.

 

Dave is survived by his wife Winona “Nonie” Peters, his son Trevelion Sherdahl (Stephanie), his stepdaughter Jennifer Moffatt (Peter), stepson Timothy Still, grandchildren Derek, Dallas, Kaden, Blake, Chyanne, Oliver, Kilian, sisters Bernice Prochera (Joe), Lynne Smout (Bill) and his mother-in-law Erna Peters.

 

He was predeceased by his mother and father Ralph & Mabel Sherdahl, his brother Vern Sherdahl and his sister Sandra Pryor.

 

There will be no formal services at this time.
