Obituary of Bridget Haleigh Westgate

1982 - 2010

Bridget Haleigh Westgate, born to Brenda and Carl Polier, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 28, 2010 at Foothills Hospital in Calgary, Alberta after battling a brain tumour for 3 years.

She is survived by her husband of 10 years Jon; daughters: Sydney (aged 8) and Payton (age 5); parents Carl and Brenda Polier; brother Caz; sisters: Billi Jo and Brandi; niece Lanae and grandparents Glen and Rosemary Giles.

Bridget lived life with exuberance and joy. The centre of her world were her two children Sydney and Payton. She found her way into many hearts with her light-hearted and carefree spirit, which she used in hosting exquisite parties so that she could be surrounded by people.

She was well known in the community for her pies, and many people came up to her around town saying how they missed those "yummy pies"! She will always be the "pie girl".

Her joy was touching other peoples' lives, and she touched many. She will be deeply missed and always loved.

A memorial service for Bridget will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, in Cranbrook on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 2:00 pm. A private family Interment will be held at a later date.
