Obituary of Dannal James Murphy

1957 -2021

 

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Dan Murphy, on July 14, 2021, he was an amazing father, husband, grandfather, brother, and uncle. 

 

Dan was born January 12, 1957, to Ethel & Patrick Murphy in Nakusp, B.C. He met and married the love of his life Anita, and in those 39 years they raised a beautiful family. Dan was hard working by nature, and his love for working on vehicles was his favorite past time. He loved the tradition of holding big blow out family BBQ’s, this will be carried on through his wife Anita and his daughters and grandsons for generations to come.

 

He is survived by his wife of 39 years Anita, daughters Shanda (Adam), grandsons Hayden and Jesson, daughter Camara (Josh), grandsons Bentley and Royce, his brother Rick Murphy (Dianne) and niece Adelia, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

 

Dan was predeceased by his mom Ethel (Fidek) Murphy, his dad Patrick Murphy and daughter in 1984.

 

Dan will be missed dearly and will live forever in our hearts.

 

A family service to be held at a later date.
