Obituary of Douglas Glenn Mahon
Please share a memory of Douglas to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
1971 - 2021
It is with great sadness that the family of Douglas Glenn Mahon announce his sudden passing on Sunday, July 4, 2021. Douglas passed away at his home where Doug, his family, and close friends cherished many BBQ’s and family events together.
Douglas met Sharmaine in Pincher Creek and had their first daughter Natasha Brook followed by Amanda Rayne and Keyara Mist. After a separation Douglas met Krista had along came his 4th daughter Ava Isabella. He absolutely loved and enjoyed his children and grandchildren Gwenyvere, Finn and Artemis.
Douglas was ambitious and loved being a business owner. He was so proud when he took over ownership of The Sammy in Cranbrook. He enjoyed spending time renovating and making it his own. Douglas is known for his great sense of humor and “terrible dad jokes” and had an infectious sense of humor and his contagious laugh. He loved his kids, his grandkids, his Harley’s, trucks, and toys – exactly in that order. Always a dreamer thinking about the next best project without concern for finishing the previous best project. Shiny. Squirrel. Douglas classified himself as a collector - not a hoarderJ
Douglas is survived by his parents Pat and Cherry Mahon of Wasa, two sisters Tammy and Tricia, his daughters Natasha Brook, Amanda Rayne, Keyara Mist and Ava Isabella, grandchildren Gwenyvere, Finn and Artemis.
He was predeceased by his brother Dwayne in 2009.
A Celebration of Life was held at The Sammy on Sunday, July 11, 2021. You are always welcome to stop in and share a memory at any time, and of course grab a bevy and make a toast in his memory.
Arrangements entrusted to McPherson Funeral Services.
