Obituary of Alrick Edgar Grimm
Please share a memory of Alrick to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Heavy hearts will cherish memories of him forever. A husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, grandpa, uncle and let’s not forget friend. He touched so many people in his own special way. We wish Alrick was still here…….we miss him so much.
Alrick loved his family and would drop anything he was doing to be there for them. Some of his most cherished times were spent with his “sweetheart” Adeline. Whether it was camping at Moyie, enjoying coffee in the morning, rum and coke at “Happy Hour”, or a game of Yahtzee, they were always together.
Alrick also had a huge passion for woodworking. There are too many projects to even try and remember them all. From kitchen cabinets to furniture to small wooden toys, he did it all. Many people have received a handcrafted piece of Alrick’s work and will surely cherish it for a long time. He also had another passion….Hockey! He could stay glued to the TV all day if hockey was on. He knew scores, schedules, stats, and players and could always strike up a conversation if it had to do with hockey.
His family will not say goodbye but rather hold our memories close to heart until we meet again. Alrick’s daughters and their families, Bonnie (Brian), grandson Jason, Heather (Julius) are all here loving you more than ever. We will never forget how deeply you touched our lives. Many angels have already embraced you with open arms and are holding your hand to guide you on your next journey……………......Adeline (your “Sweetheart”), Blair (Son), Patty (daughter), “Sweet Pea” Sarah (granddaughter), and Gordy (brother-in-Law). Last but not least, your 4-legged buddy “Tyke”.
Thank you to all who cared for Alrick, Dr. C Chan, Dr. Dubois and all the nurses at East Kootenay Regional Hospital. Also, thank you to Alice & Tamie, two special Home Care Givers.
Donations to Ladies Hospital Auxiliary/Cranbrook B.C. would be graciously accepted and appreciated.
Arrangements entrusted to McPherson Funeral Services.
