1920 – 2021
It is with great memories and sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Minnie, on March 21, 2021.
She was born in Cranbrook and spent her younger years between Cranbrook and Wardner. She was very adventurous and enjoyed most things outdoors. Minnie became involved with the salvation army which was a big part of her life. After a few part-time jobs she started her career job at City Hall. Minnie was the City Clerk and trained many people. There she met the love of her life Emil. After a long courtship, they eventually married. After a lengthy illness Emil passed. Shortly after Minnie met her partner Roy and moved to Yahk. Minnie lived there for the next 30 years, enjoying camping, fishing, and the best of the outdoors. If you wanted to find Minnie, go up the Bull River and the Tanglefoot! For health reasons they moved back to Cranbrook around 2012. Minnie then went to live in Joseph Creek around 2015. The one thing that made her happy was if you took her a bag of Reese Mini Peanut Butter Cups, her favorite treat.
We wish to thank the Doctors, Nurses, and the Staff at Joseph Creek for the wonderful care and friendship they gave to Minnie over the years.
With respect to Minnie’s wishes there will be no services. Minnie’s big love was animals, those wishing to honour her memory are asked to consider donations to the SPCA.
Arrangements entrusted to McPherson Funeral Services.
