Harold was a great neighbour during the time I lived next to him and Terry. My best to Terry and family.

Family Nixon,
We are thinking of you during this difficult time - words seem inadequate to express the sadness and loss of such a wonderful person. We were not only neighbours but came to be good friends and Harold will always be remembered by us with a big smile, warm words, and always good for a laugh with some of the simplest sayings. We could rarely look out the kitchen window and not see Harold tinkering with something outdoors or helping another. No one could ask for a better neighbour or a better friend and he will be forever fondly missed by all who came to know him.
Family Doricic

I was most fortunate to have had Harold and Terry as next door neighbours for many years. Harold was like 'dad' many times when i needed his help, opinions or advice. My thoughts are with the family at this sad time. He will be sadly missed by many.

I recall the many hockey road trips in which Harold would drive Lorne, myself and at least 2 or 3 other teamates around south east BC. We were always so comfortable in his presence that I am sure Harold heard far more than he wanted too but he never judged or questioned our teenage antics. He would just provide tidbits of advice in way's that we were not even aware we were being schooled and his positive attitude and friendly demenour made us all listen and learn.
The hours in their car and days and nights with Harold and Theresa as we grew up will forever be special in my mind.

I feel so fortunate to have been able to know someone such as Harold. His sense of humour, wit, and kindness will forever be remembered. He always had a smile on his face, even more so if we was helping you with something (especially mechanical). It didn't matter what time it was or what Harold was doing, if he knew you needed something he was right there for you. He just adored his family and his life with them and he made the better world a better place for us all.
Rest in Peace Beautiful Soul, you were truly one of a kind.
I hope someone is making snow angels for you..

I remember it was Christmas 1983 and Garth was super busy with the new dam in Revelstoke and Harold and Theresa came to visit and it was December 23rd and we did not yet have a Christmas tree. Harold loaded up Joel, Josh and myself and we drove until we found a farmer with nice trees planted in the ground. I am not sure what monies transferred from Harold to the farmer but he cut one of his nice spruces to the ground and home we went with the nicest Christmas tree ever and we decorated and had a tree, thank you Harold for always knowing what needed to be done and doing it. Your daughter-in- law Linda with appreciation.
